ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I graduated from the Medical School of the Charles University in Prague (former Czechoslovakia) and later, in1962, I got also a PhD degree in experimental surgery from The Institute of Clinical and Experimental Surgery, also in Prague, for my work on bone physiology.
For the larger part of my working life, however, I worked in Sweden. First at the Orthopaedic Department of the Northern University in Umeå, and later at the Orthopaedic Department of the Central Hospital in Southern Sweden (Borås), where I am also living now after my retirement.

I published several papers and delivered reports
at
scientific meetings mainly on the results of orthopedic operations for degenerative joint
diseases. I collaborated with The Swedish National Hip Registry and with the Cochrane
Collaboration Organization
as
referee. After my retirement I have now time to study the influence of different forms of patient information on the results of orthopedic operations. This web site is part of such project. |
